Simple Plan Is Currently Choosing Songs For 5th Album
Simple Plan has been hard at work on their upcoming 5th album for most of 2014. And it’s paid off: After writing more than 60 new songs, Simple Plan is now in the process of choosing which songs will make the record. Guitarist Jeff Stinco tweeted the details earlier today:
You guys have been asking about album 5: we are in the process of picking the songs that we will record in a few weeks. #sp5album

We hope “Boom” is one of those songs! And the more songs the better – though Simple Plan usually puts about 11 songs on the regular editions of their albums, more songs are always welcome!
In addition to picking the songs, Simple Plan is also getting ready to actually record them. The band will begin recording in January, and are aiming to have the album out around spring or summer 2015.
It’s been over three years since Simple Plan’s last album, though they did release an EP in December 2013 to hold over their eager fans. You can catch up on everything that’s gone into making their 5th album, and keep checking back here for all of the latest Simple Plan music news.
