Kelly Clarkson Announces New Children’s Book, “River Rose And The Magical Lullaby”
Kelly Clarkson began teasing a new project last weekend, and for a while all we knew was that it was magical, fun, and involved her daughter, River. Today Kelly finally shared the big news: She can now add “author” to her list of accomplishments, because she has a new children’s book coming out! Her book, River Rose And The Magical Lullaby, was inspired by her 20-month-old daughter and will be out this October.
Kelly announced the news with River in an adorable video:
River Rose And The Magical Lullaby will be published by HarperCollins Children’s Books. As Kelly said in a press release, “When kids read River Rose And The Magical Lullaby my hope is that it inspires their imagination and reminds them that they should always follow their dreams – no matter where they lead.”
Those of you hoping for new music will be excited to know that the release of the book also comes with a brand new lullaby written and performed by Kelly. Amazon included some of its lyrics:
River Rose landed down in the center of the zoo.
And right around the corner came a bouncy kangaroo.
He was just about to ask if there was something he could do,
when River Rose jumped up and said, “We’ve come to play with you!”

Kelly Clarkson’s most recent album, Piece By Piece, is also available now. The Grammy-nominated album features the singles “Heartbeat Song,” “Invincible,” and “Piece By Piece.” Kelly is currently pregnant with her second child – a son – due this spring, and is already planning her next album.
