See The Weeknd’s “Starboy” Video Off Upcoming Album Of Same Name

The Weeknd is suddenly back with a brand new single! Even though his hit album, Beauty Behind The Madness, only came out last year, he’s already preparing his new record. “Starboy” is the lead single and title track. The Weeknd just shared it last weekend, and now we can enjoy its official music video, too.

Like the song itself, the “Starboy” music video is dark and moody. It starts with dramatic, cinematic scoring as The Weeknd sits at a long table with a masked stranger. But he’s tied up, and the stranger swiftly strangles him. As the music begins and the mask comes off, we see a new version of The Weeknd, this time without the signature hair. He stalks around the house, admiring his many awards and framed records until he sees a giant glowing red cross. He uses that cross to destroy all the trophies before heading out to the garage. Reborn, The Weeknd and a black cat choose a red P1 McLaren (as mentioned in the song) and drive off into the night.

Check out the video for “Starboy” below:

“Starboy” is the first single off The Weeknd’s upcoming album of the same name. Starboy will be his third studio album, and the followup to his acclaimed 2015 record, Beauty Behind The Madness. That album launched hits like “Can’t Feel My Face” and “The Hills,” not to mention his romantic Fifty Shades Of Grey waltz, “Earned It.”

Starboy is set for release on November 25th via Republic Records. iTunes shows a tracklisting of 18 songs. Other than the title track, the only other song title we know is “False Alarm.” You can pre-order the album on iTunes now. Check out the album cover below.
