Kelly Clarkson’s new album Piece By Piece drops in just a week, but we’ll be hearing plenty of new songs before then. First up is an anthem written by Sia called “Invincible,” and it’s pretty different from Kelly’s lead single “Heartbeat Song.” We already know that what doesn’t kill her makes her stronger, and now Kelly truly is “Invincible” in this empowering song about overcoming your fears.
The song is ethereal and breathtaking, but it’s grounded with a certain heavy bass tone. If you’ve been hoping to hear Kelly’s vocal range on full display, “Invincible” is the song for you. Listen for the high notes at the end of the song! The chorus is big, and Kelly moves away from her signature belt for something a little more refined – her 2013 holiday album Wrapped In Red seems to have been a preview of the vocals Kelly’s new album would show.
“Invincible” just came out last night, and it’s already garnering plenty of positive feedback from fans and casual listeners alike. That’s a good sign, considering “Invincible” will probably be the upcoming album’s 2nd single. What do you think – would this sound amazing on the radio? Give it a listen:
“Invincible” is a great song, and we’re excited to hear it on the radio soon. And there are more Sia-penned songs where that came from – Piece By Piece will also include a ballad called “Let Your Tears Fall,” also written by Sia and Greg Kurstin.
You can get “Invincible” as an instant download if you’ve pre-ordered the album on iTunes. It also includes Kelly’s lead single, the lovey “Heartbeat Song.” Piece By Piece will be out on March 3rd, but rumor has it we’ll be hearing a few more new songs this week in advance of its release, so stay tuned. You can catch up on everything we know about the songs so far, as well as everything that went into making the album. Keep checking back here for all the latest Kelly Clarkson news.
