Garbage Announces New Song “The Chemicals” For Record Store Day
Garbage has been working on new music for the last year, and the first taste will come on Record Store Day this April. Regular contributors to the annual music holiday, this year Garbage will release two new songs. The first is a song called “The Chemicals,” and it will feature co-vocals from Brian Aubert of the band Silversun Pickups. The b-side track is still not revealed, but both new songs will appear on 10″ colored vinyl to be released on April 18th.
Last year Garbage released the “Girls Talk” single featuring Brody Dalle, along with “Time Will Destroy Everything” as the b-side.
Garbage has been hard at work on their 6th studio album, the follow-up to 2012’s Not Your Kind Of People. That album should be out later this year. 2015 also marks the 20 year anniversary of the band’s self-titled first album, and they promise some big celebrations.
