Andrew McMahon Announces 10th Anniversary Release Of Jack’s Mannequin’s ‘Everything In Transit’
10 years ago, Jack’s Mannequin released their first album, Everything In Transit. The 11 songs were pop punk perfection, and painted a story that many could relate to. Although it was an incredible album, frontman and former Something Corporate singer Andrew McMahon wasn’t able to enjoy its release at first: He had leukemia, and was undergoing treatment to get healthy again.
It has now been 10 years since Andrew McMahon beat the cancer, and Everything In Transit remains an important album that impacted many. In celebration of these great milestones, Andrew has just announced the 10th Anniversary Edition of Everything In Transit, to be released on October 16th:
I am pleased to announce the release of the Everything in Transit 10 year anniversary edition vinyl. I feel like most people would say it’s hard to believe that 10 years have passed since this album first found it’s way into the world. I can’t say the same. I feel like I’ve lived 10 lives since that crazy year when I decided to go for broke and hide out in my bedroom writing these songs. The words and melodies, the patchwork production and every memory attached to the creation of these 11 songs, still occupy some very sacred real estate in my heart and mind. I hope you will all feel the love we poured into this updated edition. From the subtle cover revisions, to the bonus vinyl of Transit era b-sides and rarities, I feel we’ve created the most well rounded look yet, into Jack’s Mannequin’s first chapter.
In celebration of the 10 year anniversary, I’ll be offering 2 exclusive web store packages, the 10 Years of Transit package and One More Plane Ride Uber package. In the 10 Years of Transit package, for $49.99 fans will receive an autographed 12″x12″ book of the original Everything In Transit artwork, lyrics and liner notes on high quality stock with a side sewn binding, two dark blue marble vinyl records (limited to 2,500 pieces), and a 5″x5″ MFEO sticker (because, maybe we were…). For $74.99, The One More Plane Ride Uber Package will include all of the above, as well as a canvas tote bag for your vinyl, featuring lyrics from “Bruised,” and an exclusive Everything In Transit t-shirt. Thank you to all of you who have been patiently waiting for this release. I hope these beautiful dark blue marble vinyls will be spinning on turntables for many years to come.
