Hilary Duff Is Recording New Music Already!
Last year, Hilary Duff released her first album in 8 years, Breathe In. Breathe Out. Even after such a long break, it was a great album, launched with the pop single “Sparks” and featuring highlights like the Ed Sheeran penned “Tattoo.” Unfortunately, the Breathe In. Breathe Out. era was cut short, and Hilary turned to filming seasons two and three of her TV series, Younger. Earlier this year, Hilary sounded a little unsure about how and when to record her followup album. Being a good mom to son Luca is her top priority, and she has commitments to Younger, but music is still on her mind. However, luckily for her eager fans, Hilary is already back in the studio!
Three weeks ago, Hilary surprised fans on Snapchat with an unexpected studio picture:

Today, Hilary shared an exciting 5-second clip. It only showed her feet, but it was complemented by a new song. In the video, we can hear Hilary singing, “All the precious memories, they haunt me, haunt me.” Check out the Snapchat video below, shared by Hilary Duff News on Twitter:

Update 6/23: Hilary confirmed that the song in the clip is called “Tied To You.”
Hilary shared another Snapchat video too, this time showing her and two guys in the studio repeatedly singing “Buuuh ya!” See the clip:

It’s great to see that Hilary is already back in the studio recording new songs. Naturally, our next question is about when we’ll get to hear them. About one month ago, some fans noticed that Hilary Duff is no longer listed on RCA’s artists roster. Hilary signed with RCA Records in spring 2014, and they released Breathe In. Breathe Out. a year later. It seems that the contract was only for the one album and Hilary has not re-signed with them. She could end up shopping her album around when it’s ready, or she may find a label sooner. Time will tell.
Besides Breathe In. Breathe Out., Hilary also just released a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Little Lies” for Younger. With the way things are moving, we may get to hear more new music in no time!
