Paramore’s Fifth Album: May 2016 Studio Updates
Two months ago, Paramore entered the studio to begin working on album #5. It will serve as the followup to their self-titled 2013 record. The band is now down to just Hayley Williams and Taylor York. (Bassist Jeremy Davis left in December.) The duo is keeping fans in the loop with their regular studio updates, though. We get a few tweets from Hayley in April. Now let’s look at all they’ve done this May:

Now that Paramore is a duo, it will be interesting to hear how the music changes. Hayley and Taylor were the principle songwriters on Paramore, so there may not be a big change in style. But what about the topics? Will Jeremy’s departure from the band come up?
Hayley also just married her longtime boyfriend, New Found Glory’s Chad Gilbert, in February. Will married life affect the new music? Perhaps more lovey lyrics and cheerful music? On the other hand, Hayley and Chad have been together for eight years, so maybe there won’t be much of a change after all. We’ll find out soon enough!
Now that Paramore is actively recording the album, they’ve been generous with the studio updates. There should be plenty more studio updates and news over the coming months, too. While the album could be ready by the end of this year, it will most likely come out sometime in 2017.
