See Gwen Stefani’s Stunning Music Video For “Misery”
Following “Used To Love You” and “Make Me Like You,” Gwen Stefani’s newest single is the slow-building, amorous “Misery.” It is the opening song on her recent third solo album, This Is What The Truth Feels Like. The music video for “Misery” finds Gwen in a rather empty warehouse, wandering around in her fancy gowns and immaculately done hair. Her only company is a trio of men in suits dancing in formation throughout the warehouse. Gwen seems unable to find her way out of the warehouse and may be trapped in the industrial elevator, but she does eventually find a beautiful black horse and an old bicycle.
In contrast with the simplistic video for “Used To Love You” and the live one-take video for “Make Me Like You,” the video for “Misery” is the first to have standard treatment. It does feel more produced and refined, and Gwen’s stunning looks throughout the clip give it the visual power that “Misery” deserves.
