The All-American Rejects Releasing One New Song This Year, EP In 2017
The All-American Rejects have been teasing a new album since 2014. More than two years after they released Kids In The Street, Nick Wheeler said that they planned to record a spontaneous, quick album. Nine months later, Tyson Ritter and Mike Kennerty publicly tweeted about starting the songwriting process. Last fall we got a new song called “There’s A Place,” but the new album is still M.I.A. Finally, in April, The All-American Rejects officially entered the studio to work on the new music!
The band has continued to share updates on the new music. Most of it is for the new Rejects record, though it looks like Tyson is also dabbling in film scoring now:
I wrote my first score theme today for this film I guess I'm scoring! It's pretty f'n tasty too.

Both Tyson and Mike have shared plenty of Twitter updates with fans this month!
I've never made this much music on a daily basis in my entire life. I hope you are flowing today fam.

The All-American Rejects confirmed they are working with producer Benny Cassette.
Just blew the doors off this studio the last 2 days with @BENNYCASSETTE. Hold on tight kiddos.

The big news for 2016: We can expect to hear ONE new song from the band before the end of the year!
.@aarofficialfans – ONE. One song for the next half year or so. Welcome to 2016?
— Tyson Ritter (@tysonritter) June 26, 2016
Tyson also stated that the band plans to release a 5-6 song EP in 2017, as opposed to a full album. Sadly, we will have to wait until next year for the EP.
@inkedgomez – probably next year an EP not a record. 5-6 songs.

One song down and it's not even noon yet. Good start to today. I'm a Funk flying robot

It’s great to finally have some confirmations about the new music. The All-American Rejects have been hard at work recording the new songs with producer Benny Cassette. We now know they plan to release an EP of five or six songs at some point in 2017. Unfortunately, it will not be a full album, and it will not be out this year. But fans will get one new song in 2016! Keep a lookout for that new track.
