See Green Day Imposters Rob A Bank In New “Bang Bang” Music Video
Last month Green Day released their aggressive new single, “Bang Bang,” the first taste of their upcoming album Revolution Radio. The song tackles issues of gun violence in America, but its new music video depicts another kind of problem. The video starts with Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool peering around a corner with bad intent written in their masked faces. The trio of imposters robs a bank while the real band is busy playing a house party nearby. The news media falls for the masks, announcing Green Day has done the dirty deed. Meanwhile, the imposters escape and rain the stolen money down on the aforementioned house party. The band, apparently oblivious to the crime, continue having a good time with their live set.
Rancid’s Tim Armstrong (no relation to Billie Joe) directed the “Bang Bang” music video.
