The Weeknd Shares Action-Packed “False Alarm” Music Video

Last month, The Weeknd (aka Abel Tesfaye) announced his upcoming third studio album, Starboy. In addition to sharing the title track and its music video, he also teased fans with a second song, the punk-influenced “False Alarm.” It’s a surprising track, and one that will surely attract new listeners. It starts off by describing a materialistic woman against upbeat, mysterious music. But then Abel lets out a primal scream, the song rocks out with punk “hey hey hey” chants punctuating the chorus.

Now fans can enjoy a music video for “False Alarm,” as well.  Warning: It’s pretty violent.

“False Alarm” starts off with a huge bank robbery and plenty of collateral damage. The group of robbers take a girl hostage, and the violence only continues as it turns into a high-speed chase. The police are no match for this band of thieves, but enough goes wrong that nobody really wins. Eventually, it’s just down to the handcuffed girl and a masked Abel. But only one will survive.

Check out the action-packed, violence “False Alarm” music video below:

“False Alarm” is the second single we’ve gotten to hear from The Weeknd’s upcoming album. Starboy is set for release on November 25th via Republic Records. The album will include 18 new songs, including this and the title track. You can pre-order the album on iTunes now. Keep checking back here for all the latest Weeknd music news.
