Ed Sheeran Shares Athletic “Shape Of You” Music Video
At the beginning of the year, Ed Sheeran returned from his online hiatus to share not one, but TWO new tracks off his upcoming third studio album. While “Castle On The Hill” is a nostalgic track, the minimalist “Shape Of You” taps into Ed’s into sensual side. Last week “Castle On The Hill” came to life in a new music video. Today, “Shape Of You” finally gets the video treatment, too.
Unlike “Castle On The Hill,” whose video mirrored the lyrics, “Shape Of You” takes on a new story in its video. Ed and a girl are both training boxers, but immediately hit it off. Their romance blooms from there, with images of the pair enjoying bites to eat and taking taxis back to the workout space. They run, jump, and punch their bags in preparation for an event. It’s a fun video that shows the romantic side of two athletes.
