Ed Sheeran Shares “How Would You Feel (Paean)” Ahead Of Album
Ed Sheeran’s new album ÷ comes out in just two weeks. Ahead of its March 3rd release date, Ed has decided to share a third song from the record. “How Would You Feel (Paean)” isn’t a single, but it is an excellent promo track that has us even more excited for the new album.
“How Would You Feel (Paean)” is a gentle love song, with Ed’s ernest vocals backed only by piano and guitar. He questions whether he should declare his love to the person in the car next to him. Either way, he’ll spend the rest of his life falling deeper in love. If you enjoyed “Thinking Out Loud,” you’ll surely love “How Would You Feel (Paean).”
You can hear the studio version of the song on Spotify or iTunes now.
Ed also offered fans a live version of “How Would You Feel (Paean)” on YouTube:
While on air with Ryan Seacrest earlier this week, Ed talked about choosing to release this “How Would You Feel (Paean)” ahead of the album.
I was like, this is the one time I can release a song and it could be played on the radio when it’s five minutes. I think once the album is out, people will just go for the singles. So the song isn’t a single, but I want to put it out because I want loads of people to hear it.
I actually forget this song existed. I’d finished the album and I was going through notes. I said to my girlfriend, “What’s your favorite song on the album?” and she said, “You’ve forgotten this existed and I’ve got it in my email because I’m the only one you sent it to.” So she picked it out from a year and a half ago. And I ended up recording it.
“How Would You Feel (Paean)” also follows the first two official singles, “Castle On The Hill” and “Shape Of You.” His new album, ÷, comes out in just two weeks on March 3rd. Keep checking back here for all the latest Ed Sheeran music news.
