Coldplay Share “Hypnotised” Lyric Video From Upcoming EP
Just one week after hearing Coldplay’s collaboration with The Chainsmokers, “Something Just Like That,” fans now get another new Coldplay track! The band just released their new song “Hypnotised,” off their upcoming Kaleidoscope EP. The song runs for nearly six minutes, slowly unfolding over dreamy music and whimsical lyrics.
A lyric video joins the song. Directed by Mary Wigmore, the video offers sweeping views of nature scenes – oceans, forests, valleys, eagles, and flowers – shown in reverse and often presenting the scenes as mirroring themselves. It’s a kaleidoscopic effect that’s fitting for the song, considering the EP it’s a part of. Watch the mesmerizing “Hypnotised” lyric video below:
“Hypnotised” comes from Coldplay’s upcoming EP, Kaleidoscope. The 5-track EP includes songs that were originally recorded for their 2015 album, A Head Full Of Dreams. Fans who heard that album may notice that “Kaleidoscope” is the name of an interlude track on A Head Full Of Dreams.
The Kaleidoscope EP will be released on June 2nd. The EP includes five new songs; check out the tracklist below:
- “All I Can Think About Is You”
- “Something Just Like This” with The Chainsmokers
- “Miracles 2”
- “A L I E N S”
- “Hypnotised”
