The All-American Rejects Finally Releasing “Sweat” In July
Back on April 1st, the All-American Rejects’ lead singer Tyson Ritter hinted that the new single, “Sweat,” would be out one month later. May came and went with no song and no news other than a tour announcement. Finally, the All-American Rejects started teasing the new song again earlier this week:
Today, the band revealed that “Sweat” will be out at some point in July…
The exact date will be announced soon. With any luck, we’ll get the song early in the month, along with a lyric video and music video. An EP – or even full album? – will likely follow soon after.
It’s been a long process getting to this point. The All-American Rejects started recording last spring and summer 2-16. They entered the studio again this January.
So far, fans have gotten to hear one full new song from the summer sessions; they’ve only played “DGAF” live, but a studio version should be on the new EP. As of December, its music video was planned and coming together.
In March, Tyson shared snippets of three songs they recorded in January, lyrics to a new track, and then one more song preview in March. One of those songs previewed “Sweat,” but the video has been taken down. We’ll have to wait a few more weeks to hear it.
In July, fans will finally get to hear “Sweat,” with the EP hopefully coming soon after. While we wait for July to arrive, enjoy the Rejects’ latest song, “There’s A Place,” from the film Miss You Already. Look for Tyson in it!
