Garbage Previews New Single, “No Horses”
Last month, Garbage frontwoman Shirley Manson revealed that the band was planning to release a new single in tandem with their upcoming tour with Blondie. The tour kicks off next Wednesday, and Garbage just started teasing the new single. “No Horses” is coming soon… on July 14th, if Amazon’s expected release date is right. Garbage shared some lyrics for the song yesterday:
Today, they confirmed the cover art for “No Horses”:
If you head over to Amazon, you can even hear a 30-second preview of “No Horses”! Musically, it sounds as depressing and dark as Shirley promised. The lyrics take another twist, as Shirley sings, “They’ll love you too, they’ll come to you too.”
Garbage is touring North America with Blondie starting next week. Check out all dates and get tickets before it’s too late! The Rage And Rapture Tour kicks off on July 5th.
Garbage released their last album, Strange Little Birds, one year ago. It gave us singles “Empty” and “Magnetized.” Since then, the band has released a cover of Cat Stevens’s “Where Do The Children Play?” and Shirley recorded vocals for two new American Gods songs. You can hear “Queen Of The Bored” now. Garbage has been working on at least four other songs in addition to “No Horses,” and with any luck, we may get a new album from them next year.
The band also has a new book coming next Tuesday. Be sure to pick up This Is The Noise That Keeps Me Awake on July 4th.
Keep checking back here for all the latest Garbage music news. We’ll keep you posted on “No Horses,” which should be out by July 14th.
