Crossfade’s Ed Sloan Announces Solo Album, First Single “Surrender” Out Soon
Ed Sloan, the frontman for the band Crossfade, has just announced his first solo album! It’s been six years since the band released their impressive third record, We All Bleed, and despite plans to release a fourth album in 2014, no music has surfaced. The band is still together and working on that long-awaited music, but in the meantime, fans can also enjoy a solo project forged by Ed Sloan.
His first single, “Surrender,” will be out in just two weeks. You can hear a preview of it in the announcement video below. In contrast to the heavy mood of Crossfade’s music, this new solo single highlights piano and strings, making for an uplifting, epic sound. Check out Ed’s exciting announcement:
There is no word on what caused Crossfade’s album delays, but Ed promises that new music from the band is still in the works. But for now, fans can look forward to the whole new project with “Surrender” and the upcoming solo album. Though Ed has not confirmed a release date for the album, it will most likely release by early 2018. On November 10th, we’ll get our first taste with “Surrender.”

Ed,
I am obsessed with the “Cold” video. I want the t-shirt you wore in that video. Can you tell me how I can find it?
