Hoobastank Unveils “Push Pull,” Title Track From Upcoming Album
Following a surprisingly funky new single last month, Hoobastank just shared the title track from their upcoming album, Push Pull. Like “More Beautiful,” the new song draws on funk styles and plenty of falsetto from frontman Doug Robb. The lyrics tackle a difficult relationship that’s out of your control: You can only push or pull so much before it’s up to the other person to make a move. Overall, it’s a fun song that revives the band’s early, charming energy.

While some fans may balk at the supposed style change, we love this new song and embrace the band’s courage in exploring different musical directions. Indeed, creative freedom often leads to the most innovation. Keep an open mind, people!
