Kelly Clarkson Celebrates Mother’s Day With “Meaning Of Life” Music Video
Although Kelly Clarkson is still promoting her vocally stunning new ballad, “I Don’t Think About You,” today she shared the long-awaited music video for the title track from her new album, Meaning Of Life. After dropping “Love So Soft” last September, Kelly filmed a video for “Meaning Of Life” ahead of the album’s release. Now, fans finally get to enjoy the moving music video. In celebration of Mother’s Day, Kelly has just released the “Meaning Of Life” music video.
The video starts with Kelly, clad in a few elegant gowns, roaming an dark, worn-down mansion. Her numerous musicians and backup singers perform in separate rooms as the building becomes more and more overgrown with flowers and trees. Finally, with the mansion fully in bloom and soaked in light, the whole group performs together, surrounded by life-giving flora.
Kelly sings about finding love, and through it, life’s true meaning. It may sounds like a love song for her husband, but the video’s ending suggests a new muse: Kelly’s children. Daughter River Rose previously appeared in Kelly’s video for “Piece By Piece,” but this is son Remington’s first appearance. It’s a touching visual for the music video, and it ties perfectly with the Mother’s Day release.

Kelly’s soulful new album just came out last October. It’s her first with Atlantic Records, and thus depicts the most creative freedom thus far in Kelly’s career. We’ve gotten two singles from the record so far: “Love So Soft” and “I Don’t Think About You.” “Meaning Of Life,” previously a promotional single, is the third music video. There’s no word yet on whether it will be an official single. Throughout the promotion for the album, Kelly has also performed “Move You,” “Whole Lotta Woman,” and “Didn’t I.”
Kelly is currently a coach on The Voice; she’s also set to host the Billboard Music Awards next Sunday, May 20th. While Kelly hasn’t yet announced a tour, she promises it is coming.
