Today, Hilary Duff shared some big news about her expanding family: She and boyfriend Matthew Koma are expecting a child! Hilary is visibly pregnant, and the couple’s baby girl will be born later this year.
This is Hilary’s second pregnancy. In 2012, she and then-husband Mike Comrie had a son, Luca, now age 6. Hilary and Mike separated in 2014, with their divorce being finalized in 2016. She and Matthew have dated off and on since early 2017, though he previously wrote a song on her last album, Breathe In. Breathe Out.
Check out the couple’s happy announcement:
With a baby on the way, Hilary won’t have as much time for her career. She currently plays Kelsey in the TV Land show, Younger, and stars in the upcoming film, The Haunting Of Sharon Tate. But in terms of music, the last three years since Breathe In. Breathe Out. have been quiet. Hilary currently has no music plans, though she has written and recorded here and there.
In a new Build interview with cast of Younger, the interviewer asked about Hilary’s cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Little Lies,” which she recorded for Younger, any upcoming music plans she may have. She has no real plans for music outside of the show right now, “which is so sad.” She continued:
The show keeps me so busy – when am I going to tour? How am I going to make a record? I do have a musician boyfriend who’s writing songs all the time, and I’m like, “I want that one!” And he’s like, “You’re not making a record right now, so… no, that’s not for you.” But [music] is just a part of my life.

With a baby girl on the way, Hilary and Matthew will be pretty busy for the next year. But they’re both musicians, so hopefully new music will come our way in time. For now, we’ll just have to wait until Hilary gets the itch to release all this music she’s written. Catch up on all we do know about her anticipated next album.
