Hear 5 New Christmas Songs From Gwen Stefani
Last month, Gwen Stefani quietly announced that her 2017 holiday album, You Make It Feel Like Christmas, would be getting a deluxe reissue. Today, the new deluxe edition is out, and there are five new Christmas songs for you to enjoy!
Following the original closing track, “Christmas Eve,” the first deluxe track is a cover of “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town.” It’s a fun and energetic cover that’s faithful to the more pop styling of the song, as heard on The Crystals’ version in 1963.
“Cheer For The Elves” is one of two original songs Gwen wrote. It centers on the hard work all the elves put in, even when Santa Claus gets all the credit and love. Elves make all the toys, read all the letters children send, and work all day and night to grant their wishes. It’s a sweet and fun way to celebrate these hard workers.
The second original song, “Secret Santa,” blends strummed acoustic guitar with castanets and sweeping strings. Gwen sings about exchanging gifts with loved ones at midnight. As with many of the songs on the first release, it’s a more romantic spin on the holidays.
“Winter Wonderland” is upbeat and cheerful, and an excellent take on one of the best wintertime classics.
The deluxe album ends with “Feliz Navidad,” featuring Chilean singer Mon Laferte. While Mon Laferte takes the lead on the Spanish verses, Gwen’s voice is more prominent on the English chorus. It’s a festive rendition of one of the most beloved Christmas songs.

The five new tracks join the classics and original songs that appeared on the first release. While the title track and “Santa Baby” were both released as singles ahead of the album, other highlights include Gwen’s cover of “Last Christmas” and her original closing ballad, “Christmas Eve.”
Gwen’s last standard album, This Is What The Truth Feels Like, came out in early 2016. It launched the singles “Used To Love You,” “Make Me Like You,” and “Misery.” There is no word on when Gwen will release another solo album, or if she’ll do another record with No Doubt.
Gwen recently finished a two-month residency in Las Vegas. She has more residency shows scheduled for this December and again in February and March next year. Find concert tickets now before it’s too late. The December shows could be a perfect opportunity to hear some of these new Christmas songs live!
