Lana Del Rey Premieres “How To Disappear” Live At Apple Event
Lana Del Rey surprised fans when she not only appeared at yesterday’s Apple event, but performed a new song! Closing out Apple’s event in Brooklyn, Lana took the stage to perform her recent single “Venice Bitch” as well as a brand new song, “How To Disappear.” Fans previously heard a snippet of the song when Lana teased it on Instagram earlier this month; that post has since been deleted, but fans captured the clip on YouTube.
“How To Disappear” is a solemn, moving ballad. The live premiere featured only a piano as the instrumental backdrop. Footage of Lana’s full “How To Disappear” performance is impossible to find, though clips are available. See a 20-second recording of the live debut below:

Fans captured the audio of the show – without the visual accompaniment – so you can at least hear the full song. Listen to “How To Disappear” in full below. In spite of the video’s name, this is not official studio audio of the song.
“How To Disappear” is set to appear on Lana’s upcoming album, Norman Fucking Rockwell, due out early in 2019. Lana already released two official singles from it: “Mariners Apartment Complex” and “Venice Bitch.” Throughout October, Lana also teased a few other songs. In addition to “How To Disappear,” Lana shared clips of “Cinnamon,” “Sylvia Plath,” and an unknown song featuring Machine Gun Kelly. The album may also include a song called “Happiness Is A Butterfly,” which Lana teased earlier this year.
Lana’s last album, Lust For Life, came out just last year. Lana entered the studio in January this year, working with Jack Antonoff on the project. There’s no release date for Norman Fucking Rockwell yet, but it should be ready this winter or spring.
