Ellie Goulding, Swae Lee, and Diplo recently teamed up on a charming new song. “Close To Me” is our first taste of Ellie’s upcoming fourth album, and today it got a jaw-dropping visual makeover. Ellie is no stranger to fashion and opulence, but this time she’s really outdone herself. Set in the Buda Castle in Budapest, Hungary, Ellie takes on the role of royalty. She tries on several fancy outfits in jewel tones and lush fabrics. She enjoys time in the palace gardens, strolling along balconies, and hanging out by the indoor pools. Swae Lee makes an appearance too, preferring to stay in the gardens outside.

“Close To Me” is the lead single from Ellie’s upcoming fourth album, due out early in 2019. While this song has a carefree, cheery vibe, Ellie warns that most of the album’s songs are rather sad. In 2017, she indicated that the new music may return to the sound and “honesty” of her second album, Halcyon.
