Watch Ellie Goulding & Juice WRLD’s New “Hate Me” Music Video
Three weeks ago, Ellie Goulding and Juice WRLD released their new single, “Hate Me,” expected to appear on Ellie’s upcoming 4th album. Today, the hypnotic song gets a new music video.
The “Hate Me” video opens with a shot of a phone deleting every picture of Ellie that’s on there. Indeed, Ellie sings “erase me” on the chorus, and that’s exactly what her ex is doing. As the first verse begins, we see Ellie in workout gear and balancing her phone on her fingertips. She then takes pictures of a voodoo doll – yeah, not creepy at all – before we move on to see a man punching a mirror. Juice WRLD does his whole part in one take, breathing out smoke the full time he sings his verse. The video gets even stranger when we see Ellie riding a giant butcher knife. Throughout the video, we see people listening to “Hate Me” on their phones, singing along with legitimate passion.

“Hate Me” is the latest single from Ellie Goulding since last fall, and it’s expected to appear on her upcoming fourth album. The new record should also include “Close To Me,” featuring Swae Lee and Diplo, Ellie’s ballad “Flux,” and her nostalgic pop single “Sixteen.”
In addition to previewing her forthcoming album, Ellie has also been busy with numerous soundtracks. In February she shared “Do You Remember,” which appears in the film Fighting With My Family. Early in April, Ellie also dropped “In This Together” from the new Netflix nature documentary series, Our Planet. And that’s not all! Also in April, Ellie released “Hollow Crown” from the Game Of Thrones soundtrack album, For The Throne. That’s a lot of new Ellie Goulding music!
Ellie’s long-awaited new album will serve as the follow-up to her 2015 record, Delirium. While we don’t have a title, tracklist, or release date for the forthcoming record, we expect to find out more in the coming months. In an interview last October, Ellie did reveal how the new music will sound. She said that most of the songs she’s written are quite sad, written about things that have built up over the years. Luckily they’re “not reflective” of how Ellie currently feels. In contrast to previous records, Ellie’s new songs talk about “quite specific things that have happened in my life, and something specific that happened to a friend of mine.”
Enjoy “Hate Me” and its new music video. Keep jamming to the new song, and look out for details about Ellie’s upcoming album in the next few months. Keep checking back here for all the latest Ellie Goulding music news.
