Lindsey Stirling just released her new album, Artemis. One of only two guest artists on the album, Evanescence’s Amy Lee sings on the song “Love Goes On and On.” After hearing a short preview back in July, today we can finally hear the full song.
“Love Goes On And On” is enchanting. Lindsey Stirling begins the song with sweeping notes rising higher and growing sweeter. Amy Lee then joins in, gliding in unison with the violin as it again climbs the scale and jumps an octave. We then hear a pounding chorus, still a duet between the violin and voice. It isn’t until nearly 100 seconds in that Amy sings any actual words, in time painting a dreamy image of her search for angels. The song perfectly blends Amy’s emotive, powerful voice and Lindsey’s magical virtuosity. It’s a gorgeous collaboration that highlights the best of both musicians.

Evanescence’s Amy Lee and violinist superstar Lindsey Stirling go back several years. After teaming up for Evanescence’s Synthesis song “Hi-Lo” and touring together throughout 2018, “Love Goes On And On” is just the latest collaboration between the two.
Amy’s band Evanescence has already begun writing for their next record, expected in 2020. They’re early in the process, but who knows, maybe Lindsey will earn another guest spot on the next Ev album?
Enjoy “Love Goes On And On,” and be sure to check out the rest of Artemis! Keep checking back here for all the latest music news.
