Alicia Keys & Miguel Share New Duet, “Show Me Love”
In an unexpected but beautiful collaboration, Alicia Keys teamed up with Miguel for a new song, “Show Me Love.” With no accompanying album announcement, it seems to be a standalone single.
“Show Me Love” opens with gentle guitar, sparse percussion and extra instruments slowly joining in. Alicia croons the chorus first, singing about fearlessly expressing love for another. Alicia and Miguel trade lines during the verses, occasionally harmonizing together and providing backing vocals for each other. It’s a gorgeous duet that mixes Alicia and Miguel’s voices to create a rich soundscape.
The song also comes with a new “visual sonic experience” video. Starring Alicia and Miguel, as well as Michael B. Jordan, Zoe Saldana, and Marco Perego Saldana, the whole video is in extreme slow motion. We see each individual water droplet raining down on Alicia and Miguel, and watch as paint flies across a room to slowly splatter on the wall. The effect is an artful, moving video that amplifies the song’s message.

Miguel’s last album, War & Leisure, came out in December 2017. More recently, Miguel shared his Spanish-language EP, Te Lo Dije, in April of this year.
“Show Me Love” joins Alicia’s most recent song, “Raise A Man,” also a standalone single. Alicia’s last album, Here, came out in November 2016. Despite the new songs, we don’t yet have an announcement of her next full album.
We do, however, have news of a memoir! In two months, Alicia will share her first book, More Myself: A Journey. Co-written by Michelle Burford, it’s being published by Flatiron Books and Oprah Winfrey’s new book imprint, An Oprah Book. More Myself: A Journey comes out on November 5th.
