Pierre Bouvier Appears On New Silverstein Song, “Take What You Give”
Silverstein just released their new album, A Beautiful Place To Drown. For their song “Take What You Give,” they recruited fellow Canadian Pierre Bouvier of Simple Plan to sing on the bridge.
“Take What You Give” glides in, winding guitars making a sweet accompaniment for Silverstein frontman Shane Told’s vocals. He describes being underwater, fitting for the shimmering music. It crashes into a big chorus, as heartfelt as it is made for singing at the top of your lungs. Simple Plan’s Pierre Bouvier takes over on the song’s bridge, affirming the stuck feeling of the lyrics. “Take What You Give” is a wonderful song and a natural collaboration between the two bands.

More From Simple Plan
Pierre Bouvier’s band Simple Plan has been recording their upcoming sixth album since last summer, and they plan to finish it soon. Pierre is co-producing the record with Brian Howes and Jason Van Poederooyen, and their tentatively aiming for a spring 2020 release.
Simple Plan is no longer with Atlantic Records. They’re now indie… just like Green Day and Fall Out Boy seem to be aiming for after their respective new releases.
Last October, Simple Plan teamed up with State Champs and We The Kings on their new single, “Where I Belong.” The collaboration was perfectly timed, as the three bands embarked on a tour shortly thereafter. The song got its own music video in December. It’s our first taste of Simple Plan’s new music, and along with the new collaboration with Silverstein, it’ll have to tide us over until Simple Plan’s full album drops!
