Alicia Keys was supposed to release her new album, ALICIA, today. Set to include her recent singles, “Underdog,” “Time Machine,” and “Show Me Love” featuring Miguel, it would be her first since 2016’s Here. However, due to the outbreak of COVID-19 and advice for everyone to self-isolate, Alicia has announced that her new album will be delayed to May 15th. Her book tour will also be delayed, but luckily her memoir, More Myself, will still come out on March 31st.

My Beautiful Fam, I wanted to officially tell you the #MoreMyself Tour & my new album #ALICIA will be postponed. (Good Note: More Myself book will still be available on 3/31🙏🏽🙏🏽) Everyone’s health and safety is the #1 priority! Thank you for your deep love and support, I’ll let you know about new dates as soon as possible. Stay positive! Stay powerful! Keep your frequency high and be kind to one another. I adore u 💜💜
It’s unfortunate her new album has been pushed back, but it’s completely understandable. The pandemic is affecting so many industries and individuals, and we’ll likely enjoy ALICIA more when things calm down. Two months isn’t too much longer.
You can pre-order ALICIA from all the major music providers here now. It will include her singles “Underdog,” “Time Machine,” and “Show Me Love” with Miguel. However, it’s unclear if her 2019 song “Raise A Man” will appear on the tracklist.
More From Alicia
Alicia’s last album, Here, came out in November 2016. Now, three and a half years later, ALICIA is just around the corner, with four stunning songs to amp us up. The new album is now set for release on May 15th.
Two months ago, on Sunday, January 26th, Alicia Keys hosted the Grammys for the second year in a row. She is a natural, and we were glad to see her host again.
Alicia is also moving into the literary field. Later this month, Alicia will share her first book, More Myself: A Journey. Co-written by Michelle Burford, it’s being published by Flatiron Books and Oprah Winfrey’s new book imprint, An Oprah Book. More Myself: A Journey comes out on Tuesday, March 31, 2020. You can pre-order the book here.
Its book tour has been postponed, though new dates have not yet been announced.
The new album tour, however, is still expected to go on as scheduled. It kicks off on June 5th in Dublin, working its way through Europe and then North America, finishing in Florida on September 22nd. Find all the dates and get tickets now before it’s too late! Some dates have already sold out, so don’t delay.
It’s a shame ALICIA has been delayed, but we’re only two months away now. Get ready for the new music on May 15th. Until then, enjoy the four songs released already. Stay tuned for more news on the album – like the full tracklist – and keep checking back here for all the latest Alicia Keys news.
