Simple Plan's fourth studio album, Get Your Heart On!, was a pop punk return to form that pleased fans and critics alike. After releasing four singles - and multiple versions of "Summer Paradise" in particular - as well as a full concert on YouTube, the band knew it would still be a while before their next album would be done. To tide fans over, Simple Plan decided to release an EP of leftover songs. They re-recorded 7 songs for Get Your Heart On - The Second Coming!, released on December 3, 2013. The band released a music video for "The Rest Of Us," as well as a lyric video for "Ordinary Life." Despite being leftovers, the songs were all amazing and album-quality. It was a great way to keep fans happy while Simple Plan took the next two years to write and record their fifth studio album.
