In September 2015, Lana Del Rey released her 4th studio album, Honeymoon. It followed 2014's Ultraviolence and her 2012 major label debut, Born To Die. The title track was the first song Lana released from "Honeymoon," followed by singles "High By The Beach," "Terrance Loves You," and "Music To Watch Boys To." Later "Freak" was released as the album's final single.
Honeymoon took Lana in an even more retro musical direction than Ultraviolence had. The songs harkened back to the middle of the 20th century, though modern trap elements kept it from feeling too old. The album offered up highlights like "Salvatore" and "The Blackest Day," but already Lana was ready to work on new music within months of its release.
Lana began working on Lust For Life by early 2016. By 2017, she had confirmed that this new album was more for the fans. Will it be more similar to Born To Die? In February she released the first single, "Love," before announcing the album's title in March. In April fans got to hear the title track, co-written by and featuring The Weeknd. Though we have the album's cover art and know a handful of song titles and collaborators, we're still waiting on confirmation of the release date. On May 24th, Lana confirmed that Lust For Life will be out on July 21st.
