K’naan has been sharing thought-provoking music since the mid-2000s, illuminating Somalian politics and his experience as a refugee living in North America. We haven’t gotten an album from him since 2012, but he’s released a few songs with other artists over the years.
While we await his next album – tentatively titled Disgraceland, and hopefully coming out soon – let’s revisit the handful of unreleased songs he has hiding in his vaults. Many of these are songs we expect to hear on K’naan’s forthcoming album, including a few he debuted live, a few he teased from the studio, and even one accidentally released single that has seen been scrubbed from the internet. Beyond the recent unreleased songs that hopefully have a future, K’naan also has several songs from his previous album eras that never saw the light of day – at least not as official releases.
Enjoy this full list of unreleased K’naan songs. We’ll do our best to keep it up-to-date as new recordings and information come out. Be sure to also check out our full list of all K’naan songs – including the hidden jams below as well as all of his officially released tracks.
