See Sara Bareilles’s Lyric Video For “If I Dare”

Two weeks ago, Sara Bareilles dropped her new single, “If I Dare,” written for the new film, Battle Of The Sexes. The movie, in theaters now, portrays tennis players Billie Jean King (played by Emma Stone) and Bobby Riggs (Steve Carell) and their iconic 1973 tennis match. Its backdrop is the dawning of the women’s movement and the sexual revolution, and Sara’s new song brings out these themes beautifully.

In case the song’s words still elude you, the new lyric video will help you out. The video incorporates imagery from the film. Sing along to “If I Dare” in the new lyric video below:

You can stream “If I Dare” on Spotify or download it from iTunes now.

Sara’s last studio album, The Blessed Unrest, came out in July 2013. It launched her hit single, “Brave,” written for a friend struggling to come out. She also released her musical album, What’s Inside: Songs From Waitress, in November 2015. It’s made up of songs Sara wrote for the Broadway musical, Waitress, including her ballad, “She Used To Be Mine.”

Sara is currently working on her next studio album. Enjoy “If I Dare” while we wait for album #5 – it may be a good indication of how the new songs will sound. Book fans will also love Sara’s 2015 autobiography, Sounds Like Me: My Life (So Far) In Song. It’s a must-read for Sara Bareilles fans, music lovers, and autobiography buffs alike.
