Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton Share Fun “You Make It Feel Like Christmas” Video
Last year, Gwen Stefani released a fun and classic holiday album, You Make It Feel Like Christmas. The title track features her boyfriend, country star Blake Shelton. Following the album’s new deluxe reissue last month, the Christmas single finally got a music video today. It highlights both Gwen’s and Blake’s personalities, as the video serves up old-fashioned class as well as campy jokes in equal measure.
The “You Make It Feel Like Christmas” music video opens up like a holiday film, showing Gwen and Blake driving home with a new Christmas tree in tow. Cut to a 1960s-styled performance, Gwen resembling Marilyn Monroe as a young band performs behind them. A group of children dressed in Santa Claus suits joins Blake and Gwen during the chorus, dancing merrily across the stage. The video returns to silly fun as we compare Gwen’s and Blake’s differing skill levels in building snowmen. The video’s final setting takes us to their home, decorated to the nines with a tree, lights, and presents. “You Make It Feel Like Christmas” ends in the kitchen, but offers up 30 extra seconds of campy blooper scenes.

“You Make It Feel Like Christmas” first appeared on Gwen Stefani’s 2017 holiday album of the same name. Last month, You Make It Feel Like Christmas was re-released with five new songs. In addition to covers of “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town,” “Winter Wonderland,” and “Feliz Navidad,” it also features two new original songs: “Cheer For The Elves” and “Secret Santa.” The album’s original 12 songs included 6 covers and 6 original compositions. “You Make It Feel Like Christmas,” co-written by Blake Shelton, was one of those originals. This isn’t his first foray into Christmas music, either. Blake’s own holiday album, Cheers, It’s Christmas, came out in 2012, before he and Gwen started dating in 2015.
Gwen’s last standard album, This Is What The Truth Feels Like, came out in early 2016. It launched the singles “Used To Love You,” “Make Me Like You,” and “Misery.” There is no word on when Gwen will release another solo album, or if she’ll do another record with No Doubt.
Gwen recently finished a two-month residency in Las Vegas. She has more residency shows scheduled for this December and again in February and March next year. Find concert tickets now before it’s too late. The December shows could be a perfect opportunity to hear some of these new Christmas songs live!
