Tove Lo Offers Sympathy & Crime In “Glad He’s Gone” Music Video

Three weeks ago, Tove Lo shared her new single, “Glad He’s Gone,” the lead for her upcoming fourth album, Sunshine Kitty. Following a vertical video last week, today the song gets a proper music video.

“Glad He’s Gone” starts off with a charming recreation of the pep talk Tove gives her newly single friend. While Tove is at a restaurant with a guy, her friend calls her, crying on the phone. Tove consoles her, abandoning her dinner partner and traversing across fields, forests, and rocky shores to reach her friend. She marches past penguins and horses, walks on top of trains and cargo ships, never losing cell reception. However, Tove’s journey takes an unexpected twist when she commits a crime and has to do the time. No matter; her cell signal is still strong, and she eventually makes it back to resume her meal with her oddly patient dinner date.
