Hear Kelly Clarkson & Aloe Blacc’s Soulful “Love Goes On”

Last month, Kelly Clarkson announced her forthcoming collaboration with Aloe Blacc, “Love Goes On.” Today, we can finally hear the soulful song. Aloe Blacc wrote “Love Goes On” for the soundtrack for the upcoming film, The Shack. While the movie doesn’t hit theaters until March 3rd, the soundtrack is available today.

Aloe sings the first verse, while Kelly takes over for the second verse. “Love Goes On” plays to both of the singers’ strengths, its soulful vibe fitting perfectly with Kelly’s planned soul album, out later this year. The midtempo song celebrates the impact of life experiences – good and bad. But no matter how broken you may feel, love can heal. It’s a great song that anyone can relate to.

Check out “Love Goes On” below:

“Love Goes On” appears on the soundtrack for The Shack, a faith-based drama. The movie stars Octavia Spencer, Sam Worthington, and Graham Greene. John Fusco wrote the script, based on William P. Young’s 2007 novel of the same name. Stuart Hazeldine directed. The Shack will hit movie theaters on March 3rd.

Aloe’s most recent releases are his 2016 songs, “Real Slow” and  “Live My Life.” He also contributed the song, “Let The Games Begin,” to the film Race. His last album, Lift Your Spirit, came out in 2013.

Kelly recently released a moving cover of “It’s Quiet Uptown” from The Hamilton Mixtape, a soundtrack album for the wildly popular Broadway musical, Hamilton. Kelly also appeared on Reba McEntire’s new religious album, Sing It Now: Songs Of Faith & Hope, on the song “Softly And Tenderly.”

Meanwhile, Kelly Clarkson has been busy recording her highly-anticipated 7th studio album, a soulful record and her first under Atlantic Records. A single should be out in April, with the album expected in June. You can read up on all we know about it so far. Keep checking back here for all the latest Kelly Clarkson music news.
