Kelly Clarkson Reveals Tons Of New Song Info & Performs “Whole Lotta Woman”
In case you missed it, Kelly Clarkson just announced her new album, Meaning Of Life! Her first album with Atlantic Records, this is the soulful record fans have been waiting to hear. Kelly calls it a “grown-ass woman’s” album, and is more excited about this music than anything she’s released yet. Yesterday she debuted two new songs: Sassy first single “Love So Soft” comes with visually stunning music video, while ballad “Move You” will ignite your deepest feelings. Those two songs are just the tip of the iceberg. Catch up on all we know about 11 of the 14 new Meaning Of Life songs so far.
Kelly performed a brand new song on The Today Show (though fans may have a heard a live snippet from the other night). “Whole Lotta Woman” is a feisty song that uses southern food as its main analogy. Earth, Wind & Fire also contributed horn and brass to the track! Hear the full live song below:
Entertainment Weekly also shared some more song sneak peeks. Inspired by a speech Michelle Obama gave last year, Kelly co-wrote a song called “Go High.” With a breakdown and chopped up vocals, this may be the “Take You High” of the new album!
Disguised as a breakup song, Kelly disses her old label (RCA) on a new song called “I Don’t Think About You.” Entertainment Weekly promise a song that showcases Kelly’s vocals, comparing it to Whitney Houston.
“Medicine” finds Kelly showing off her high notes a la Mariah Carey. Meanwhile, we can look forward to hearing a sexy guitar solo on called “Slow Dance,” what Entertainment Weekly calls a “smoldering jam.” Finally, we’ll get to hear a “sparkling mid-tempo stunner” titled “Would You Call That Love” come October 27th.

Meaning Of Life comes out on October 27th. It will include 14 tracks in total. The tracklist has not yet been revealed, but we do know 11 of the songs so far. What are the other three songs? We may hear “A Woman’s Touch” or “It Matters To Me,” or the song Kelly wrote about Big Little Lies. Or perhaps we’ll get entirely new titles. We’ll know soon enough!
