BANKS Announces New Single “The Devil” With Cinematic Teaser Clip

BANKS is about to kick off her new era, and it comes with a hellish new single next week. She just announced that her song “The Devil” will drop next Wednesday, presumably the first taste of her anticipated fourth album. Fans can already see a clip of the song’s music video and hear a short snippet of it.

Yesterday, BANKS shared this exhilarating teaser, in which we can hear her whispering an evil-sounding chant. The imagery matches the theme, with demonic crawling in the dirt and domineering poses in red. Check it out:

Then today, BANKS shared a longer teaser video, this time of her and a man talking in Russian. She seems to be in charge and she’s not to be messed with. At the end we can hear her muttering “devil.” Watch it below:

“The Devil” comes out next Wednesday, June 16th. (That’s also BANKS’ birthday!) It’s expected to arrive with a music video, and hopefully with an announcement of BANKS’ fourth studio album. Stay tuned!

More From Banks

BANKS’ last album, simply titled III, came out in July 2019. It launched the singles “Gimme,” “Look What You’re Doing To Me,” and “Contaminated.”

Last spring, she released an EP, Live And Stripped. It included live, acoustic performances of “Stroke,” “Contaminated,” “Drowning,” and “If We Were Made Of Water.” All songs are taken from III, except “Drowning,” which was a single from BANKS’ debut album, Goddess.

BANKS has been writing and recording in the studio for much of the past year, occasionally sharing behind-the-scenes looks. At one point she worked with Tove Lo, so we hope to hear that song on one of their albums!

Enjoy the teasers for “The Devil,” and look out for the song and video next Wednesday. With any luck, it will come with some more information about BANKS’ next album, too. Keep checking back here for all the latest music news.
