Natasha Bedingfield Previews New Song, Aptly Titled “Adorable”

Natasha Bedingfield just released her new single “Lighthearted” last month, sharing its music video a week ago. She’s now teasing fans with a snippet of another new song, suitably called “Adorable.” (This follows her live preview of a song called “The United States Of Us” from January this year.) In a livestream today, Natasha performed “Unwritten,” Britney Spears’s “…Baby One More Time,” and a snippet of her unreleased new track.

About ten and a half minutes into the Instagram livestream, Natasha and Rod Castro, on guitar, begin playing the new song. “Adorable” has a peppy beat and cheery vibe, perfect for Natasha’s generally uplifting style. Natasha sings the lyrics for what seem to be the first verse, pre-chorus, and chorus:

You don’t do what I ask you to
But I can’t complain; I mean, look at you
And after all, we all got our faults
I bet you could do some complaining, too

I don’t love the way you love me
But when you’re doing it you look real fine
People think I’m lucky, and I’m in agreement
Most of the time

Pour some fire on the fuel
You’re beautiful, and I’m a fool
Even when you’re horrible
Baby, you’re adorable
Baby, you’re adorable

Check out Natasha’s live preview of “Adorable” below. It begins at about 10:30.

“Adorable” isn’t out yet, and Natasha didn’t indicate when it would be available. It’s one of three new songs we know of, and luckily “Lighthearted” is already out. Natasha has been in the studio frequently lately, so we hope a full album is on the horizon. It’s been nearly two year since her last record, Roll With Me, so we’re ready for more where that came from!

More From Natasha

In August 2019, Natasha Bedingfield released Roll With Me, her first album in nine years. It launched the singles “Roller Skate,” “Kick It,” and “Everybody Come Together,” as well as a North American tour that fall. Following such a long gap between albums, Roll With Me was a welcome return, and one of our favorite albums of 2019.

Last year in June, Natasha shared a song called “Together In This,” which was part of the children’s movie, Jungle Beat. That song was written by her good friend, musician Jonas Myrin.

Just six months ago, Natasha shared a live performance of a new song called “The United States Of Us.” She suggested that an official release of the song would happen, but didn’t indicate when. She co-wrote it with Jonas Myrin, the same writer of “Together In This.”
