Six months ago, Tove Lo shared her cover of fellow Swedish artist Veronica Maggio’s 2011 hit single “Jag Kommer,” translated into English as “I’m Coming.” Since then, Tove has shared a few more videos and songs of her own. She also included “I’m Coming” on the deluxe rerelease of her 2019 album, Sunshine Kitty. But now, half a year later, Tove Lo is returning her attention to “I’m Coming,” and has just shared a lyric video for the song.
While Veronica’s original version is punchy pop, Tove’s cover starts off more ethereal. Early on we hear a reference to Queen Of The Clouds, Tove’s debut album – perhaps that record’s title came from this song? A drum beat and throbbing synth tether the heavenly song, but it’s still allowed to soar. “I’m Coming” is blissful pop about falling in love, and it reminds us of Tove’s earliest songs.
The lyric video features footage of Tove in the privacy of her bedroom, wearing various undergarments – some more casual, some lacier lingerie. She seems to be alone, but she’s having a good time. Meanwhile, the song’s lyrics scroll across the screen, the big font making them impossible to miss. In some cases, it takes a bit of concentration to figure out where you should be reading, but you’ll get there soon enough.

The film is expected to come out on December 25, 2021.
In late July, Tove Lo also got married! She married her boyfriend of three years, Charlie Twaddle. Fans were surprised – we never heard about any engagement – but we’re happy for her!
