Tove Lo Previews New Song, “Sadder Badder Cooler”
It was a year ago this month when Tove Lo kicked off her Sunshine Kitty era with “Glad He’s Gone,” its breezy lead single. Now, after months of singles, music videos, and lyric videos, Tove Lo is teasing a brand new song. And based on the artwork, “Sadder Badder Cooler” seems to be connected to the Sunshine Kitty album.
The preview of “Sadder Badder Cooler” is short. Over a pure synth sound, Tove sings “I’m sadder, I’m badder, I’m cooler, yeah!” Her voice is filtered through robotic vocal effects, matching the sound of the rest of the song.

Sunshine Kitty has launched the singles “Glad He’s Gone,” the Alma-assisted “Bad As The Boys,” “Jacques” with Jax Jones, “Really Don’t Like U” featuring Kylie Minogue, “Sweettalk My Heart,” “Are U Gonna Tell Her?” with MC Zaac, “Equally Lost” featuring Doja Cat, and, most recently, “Mateo.”
In addition to those album singles, we’ve also gotten a few other songs. Tove shared her new song “Bikini Porn” earlier this year, including “Passion And Pain Taste The Same When I’m Weak” as its b-side. Then we got her collaboration “Calling On Me” with Sean Paul. And in March, Tove shared her cover of “I’m Coming,” originally recorded in Swedish.
