Matt Bellamy Previews Acoustic Version of “Unintended,” Out Friday

How many Muse fans still adore their first album, Showbiz? It’s been 21 years since it came out, but now fans will get an updated version of one of its most beloved singles. Get ready to hear a new acoustic version of “Unintended” this Friday.

“Unintended” is one of most tender moments on the album. The gentle ballad is an ode to someone who could be your one true love. As frontman Matt Bellamy sings, he’ll be there soon, if only she can wait a bit longer.

Today, Matt surprised fans with a one-minute preview of the new acoustic recording of the Showbiz song. It isn’t clear if he’s releasing it solo or if it’ll come from the whole band. We’ll find out Friday!

Hear a preview of the upcoming acoustic version of “Unintended” below:

Last month, Matt shared his COVID-inspired solo song, “Tomorrow’s World.” It was only the second solo song we’d heard from Matt. Last year, his song “Pray (High Valyrian)” was included on the Game Of Thrones soundtrack album, For The Throne.

In November 2018, Muse released their incredible album Simulation Theory. It launched the singles “Dig Down,” “Thought Contagion,” “Something Human,” “The Dark Side,” and “Pressure,” plus videos for the songs “Algorithm,” “Break It To Me,” and “Blockades.”

Last December, Muse shared a robust boxset of their first two albums, Showbiz and Origin Of Symmetry. Within their Origin Of Muse boxset, fans got not only the first two albums, but also all their b-sides and bonus tracks, live recordings, and a plethora of demos – both of songs we know and songs we’d never heard before. It’s a must-have for any Muse fan.
